Packers make last set of decisions before Cowboys clash, and they’re expected to have a meaningful impact on the outcome

Sep 11, 2025; Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA; Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur looks on in the first quarter against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field.

The Green Bay Packers will, in fact, need to handle life without three starting offensive linemen on Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys. Ninety minutes before ‘Sunday Night Football,’ the Packers released the inactive list, and left guard Aaron Banks is officially out—on Friday, he had been designated as doubtful, which was already a strong indication of this outcome. Banks suffered a groin injury last week versus the Cleveland Browns.

Right tackles Zach Tom (oblique) and Anthony Belton (ankle) had already been ruled out on Friday.

Without them all, Green Bay will likely start Rasheed Walker, Jordan Morgan, Elgton Jenkins, Sean Rhyan, and Darian Kinnard across the offensive line. Acquired right before the regular season, Kinnard has played several snaps for the team early this season, but that would be his first start for the Packers.

The biggest issue now is depth, as the Packers don’t have much room to lose more pieces. The other active offensive linemen for the game are guard Donovan Jennings, tackle Brant Banks, and center Lecitus Smith, elevated from the practice squad for gameday.

Better outcome

The only other player with an inconclusive injury designation for the game was safety Javon Bullard, who is recovering from a concussion. He is officially active after clearing the concussion protocol and will play.

After missing Wednesday’s practice as part of the protocol, Bullard was able to participate in practice on a limited basis on Thursday and Friday. With him in the mix, the Packers gain more versatility in the defensive backfield, as he can play both at deep safety, in the box, and in the slot.
