Stats Show How Dominant Key Packers Unit Has Been Through 3 Games

The Green Bay Packers were viewed as potential Super Bowl candidates heading into the NFL season, especially after the addition of Micah Parsons.

Fans and analysts alike believed this team had a lot going for them on both sides of the ball, making them a legitimate threat to opposing teams.

One unit that had a lot of questions was the secondary, as they lost several key players and even transitioned Bo Melton from wide receiver to cornerback in hopes of changing things up.

While there wasn’t a lot of faith in this unit when the season started, they’ve started to prove the doubters wrong, as analyst Nate Kruse pointed out on X.

He noted that teams have completed 10 of 26 passes when throwing at Keisean Nixon, Carrington Valentine, and Nate Hobbs, only logging 92 yards in the process.

This is a major accomplishment for this trio, a pleasant surprise for Packers fans.

They were able to shut down the best receivers on Detroit and Washington, teams that had two of the best defenses in the NFL last season.

If this trend continues moving forward, teams will need to be aware of what these three can do, and either look elsewhere or try to establish the run more effectively.

The Packers have a lot going for them on both sides of the ball, and their recent loss to the Cleveland Browns can likely be chalked up to a fluke rather than anything else, such as them not being a top-tier team in the NFC.
