The Detroit Lions enter their Monday Night matchup with the Baltimore Ravens with some big injury news.
Defensive end Marcus Davenport, who left the Lions’ 52-21 win over the Chicago Bears with an injury in the third quarter, has officially been put on injured reserve with a chest injury. He’s expected to miss at least the next few weeks, though Lions coach Dan Campbell said the team is still trying to figure out when he would be able to return.
Davenport’s injury could be a big loss for the Lions defense, which sacked Bears quarterback Caleb Williams four times last Sunday but might have trouble against the two-time MVP Lamar Jackson, who they play on Monday, Sept. 22, in Baltimore.
However, the Lions will have starters Taylor Decker, Jack Campbell, Kerby Joseph and D.J. Reed, who were all questionable to play against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Lions have otherwise avoided big injuries on the offensive and the defensive side so far this season, and hope to continue to stay healthy as they make their way through a brutal 2025 regular-season schedule.
