Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow sustained an injury to his left toe that will require him to have surgery, Schefter confirmed Monday morning.
He says that the Bengals have been calling for other free-agent quarterbacks since Burrow’s injury.

It happened during the second quarter of the game when Jaguars defensive end Arik Armstead sacked Burrow.
Burrow attempted to get up off the field, but quickly fell after taking just a few steps. A team of trainers had to help him the rest of the way.
Initially, his return was questionable, but the Bengals declared him to be out in the third quarter.
FOX19 NOW’s Jeremy Rauch confirmed that Burrow’s injury was diagnosed as turf toe with torn ligaments.

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor did not have any new information to share that day.
Nevertheless, second-string quarterback Jake Browning led the Bengals to victory, beating the Jaguars 31-27.
