BREAKING: Patriots’ Stefon Diggs Roasts Mike Vrabel After Sideline Scamper During Kick Return TD

Among the takeaways Stefon Diggs had from Sunday’s win over the Miami Dolphins: Mike Vrabel is slow.

The Patriots got their first win of the season on Sunday, a 33-27 victory over the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium, but New England had the wind taken out of its sails midway through the fourth quarter.

Miami kick returner Malik Washington made good use of the Patriots’ poor tackling and ran back a punt to put the Dolphins ahead 27-23.

However, the Patriots answered on the ensuing kickoff. Antonio Gibson bolted 90 yards for a touchdown, putting the Patriots back up 30-27.

Perhaps more eye-catching than Gibson’s return was Vrabel’s response. The coach sprinted down the sideline alongside Gibson (briefly) as he completed the go-ahead score.

Diggs was asked after the game about Vrabel’s dash, and Diggs admitted he wasn’t the most impressed.

“Yeah, I actually just saw it on video, and I was like, ‘He’s slow as hell,’” Diggs said, via The Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed.

To Vrabel’s credit, not a ton of 50-year-olds could get down the sideline as well as he did. Diggs isn’t necessarily wrong, though.
