Andy Reid speaks on major venture with Chiefs coach working with Martha Stewart

ANDY Reid has opened up on his latest business venture, which involves two big-time celebrities, including Martha Stewart.

The Kansas City Chiefs’ head coach discussed being part of a fun commercial with Stewart.

Reid has been a commercial hit in recent seasons as he’s linked up with numerous brands, including State Farm, where he starred alongside Chiefs star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, in multiple ads.

But this time, Reid has decided to work with two well-known celebrities.

He stars in a new commercial for shoemaker Skechers that features entrepreneuer Martha Stewart and comedian Howie Mandell.

The U.S. Sun caught up with Reid, who spoke about his ‘Relaxed Andy’ Slip-ins campaign.

“My new campaign with Skechers was really fun to shoot. It’s another one for Skechers Hands Free Slip-ins and we’re calling it ‘Relaxed Andy,’ because I can relax more when I don’t have to bend down and tie my shoes,” he said.

“We’ve got Howie Mandel and Martha Stewart in there too, so it was nice to have some company this time.

The commercial begins with Reid wearing coaching attire in a locker room with football plays on a chalkboard.

“I just step in and they’re on,” he said of the Slip-in shoes.

“Plus they turn me into Relaxed Andy.”

Reid puts on his shoes and gets transported to a tropical location.

The 67-year-old is now rocking a Hawaiian shirt as Mandel and Stewart appear and share the benefits of the shoes.

Stewart stunningly sports a fake mustache in a nod to honor Reid.

And Mandel asks for a hug from Reid, who shuts that down instantly.

Reid had a blast getting to work with Stewart and Mandel.

“It was great getting Howie and Martha in the ‘Relaxed Andy’ commercial with me,” he told The U.S. Sun.

“I didn’t think we could get Martha to put on the Andy Reid mustache, but we did, and she was a great sport about it.

“And Howie is hysterical, so it was really fun to have him in there.

“I hope people enjoy watching the commercial as much as I enjoyed filming it.”

This isn’t Reid’s first campaign with Skechers as he made his commercial debut with the brand during Super Bowl 59 where his Chiefs lost 40-22 to the Philadelphia Eagles.

He credits Fox NFL Sunday star Howie Long, who is a brand ambassador for Skechers, for getting him a second campaign opportunity.

“When Skechers first reached out to me I wasn’t too familiar with the Slip-ins so I called Howie Long and he raved about them and how good they are for guys like us,” Reid said.

“You can thank Howie for getting me to my second Slip-ins campaign!

Reid suggested that Long and NFL legend Tony Romo, who is also an ambassdor for the company, can join him in his potential next campaign.

“It was really cool to have Martha and Howie shoot this second one with me. Maybe next time I can get Tony Romo and Howie Long to join me,” he said.
