Cowboys RB Rico Dowdle reportedly sick upon arrival to stadium, questionable against 49ers

The Dallas Cowboys are set to visit the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, their first game back out of the bye.

While Dallas will be operating without the likes of Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland, Sunday evening brought with it news that running back Rico Dowdle may not play either. According to the team, Dowdle became sick upon arriving to the stadium and is now questionable to suit up and play.

First and foremost we all hope that Rico Dowdle is alright. That matters the most.

As far as the football of it all though, there was a report on Saturday that Dallas was planning on elevating Dalvin Cook for the first time and with that being the case there was going to be a matter of figuring out which player would be inactive in his spot. If Dowdle is unable to play against the 49ers then it would appear that his would be the roster spot in question.

Inactives are out about 50 minutes from the time of this post’s writing so we will know for certain soon enough.
