Detroit Lions Injury Report: Decker, Campbell Miss Practice; Arnold Returns

The Chicago Bears will visit the Detroit Lions this weekend as Ben Johnson returns to the Motor City. As we prepare for their Week 2 matchup, let’s look at the first injury report of the week for the Lions.

Tackle Jamarco Jones was placed on season-ending injured reserve this week after an ankle injury last Thursday. Jones joins Miles Frazier, Josh Pascal, Alim McNeill, and Malcolm Rodriguez as players on injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list.

Left tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder) and linebacker Jack Campbell (ankle) appeared on the injury report today for Detroit after the pair missed practice. Campbell and Decker played in Week 1 against Green Bay and are dealing with new injuries.

Running back Sione Vaki (hamstring) and linebacker Trevor Nowaske (elbow) were limited participants for the Lions on Wednesday, but were upgraded by being there after missing Week 1 with their respective injuries.

Cornerback Terrion Arnold (groin) and safety Daniel Thomas (hand), who were injured in last week’s loss to the Packers, returned to practice on Wednesday and were full participants. Arnold suffered his groin injury on the game’s second drive against Green Bay. Thomas broke his hand during the first half last week, but he told reporters he plans to play with a cast.
