7 veterans, 3 rookies are listed on the Kansas City Chiefs’ first injury report for Week 2

10 players listed on Chiefs' initial injury report for Week 2

The Kansas City Chiefs listed 10 players — seven veterans and three rookies — on their initial injury report for Week 2.

Among the veterans included in the report were wide receivers Xavier Worthy and Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, offensive linemen Jawaan Taylor and Trey Smith, linebackers Nick Bolton and Drue Tranquill, and defensive back Chamarri Conner.

Defensive linemen Ashton Gillotte and Omarr Norman-Lott, and wide receiver Jalen Royals were the trio of rookies reported to be dealing with injuries.

Worthy and Royals did not participate in the Chiefs’ practice session on Wednesday.

Smith and Tranquill were limited participants in the team’s drills.

All of Kansas City’s eight other injured players were full participants in the Chiefs’ latest workouts.

The team hasn’t yet specified any of its players’ official game status for Week 2, so it is too early to tell how Kansas City’s injury situation might affect the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles on September 14.
