The Kansas City Chiefs have a reputation for getting an unfathomable amount of good breaks, both on the football field but also when it comes to league office decisions regarding them.

Most recently, many fans expected the Philadelphia Eagles to have to face the Chiefs in Week Two’s Super Bowl LIX rematch without the services of star defensive lineman Jalen Carter after he was ejected in the opening moments of Week One for spitting on Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.

However, it seems the league has finally decided to rule against Kansas City, and is letting Carter play, according to one prominent league insider.

“NFL is fining Eagles DT Jalen Carter $57,222 for spitting on Dak Prescott. The league also says the game he was ejected for will serve as a one-game suspension. “After talking to the Eagles, the NFL and the NFLPA, Jalen has decided not to appeal and focus on the Chiefs game,” said Carter’s agent Drew Rosenhaus,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
