A long contract saga between the Dallas Cowboys and pass rusher Micah Parsons played out over the course of the entire offseason, and eventually came to an end only after a trade to the Green Bay Packers.

The move from owner Jerry Jones and the Cowboys stunned many and still forces a shake of the head whenever the thought pops into the mind. For the vast majority of Cowboys’ fans, closure will only come once Parsons takes the field for the green and gold on Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

With the new NFL season all but ready to start on Thursday, predictions and bets are the talk of the town. The addition of Parsons to the defensive line could just be the cherry on the cake if they can get to another Super Bowl. The Packers are one of the younger teams in the league, and by adding Parsons, they have not only added a player in his prime but also a leader in the dressing room.
