Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones appeared as a guest on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, weighing in on the ongoing contract dispute between the Dallas Cowboys and All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons.
“It’s frustration on both sides,” said Jones, speaking to Adams at training camp. “It’s probably frustrating for Jerry with everything that’s going on. And then the contracts he’s recently gave out as an owner. And you’re looking at it from a business standpoint. ‘I give all these guys contracts.’ And then it doesn’t go as well as he wants it to go.”

“You look at it from a player standpoint,” said Jones, who had his contract dispute with the Chiefs in 2023, “who goes out there day in and day out and puts their life on the line and does the best they can for the organization.”
Jones, however, believes Parsons isn’t going anywhere and that the two sides will reach a deal soon. The Chiefs travel to Dallas on Thanksgiving Day to play the Cowboys, and Parsons will likely have his contract dispute figured out.
