Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Trent McDuffie recently appeared as a guest on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adams, giving an update on his contract extension status.

“I truly feel like my agent, our relationship has grown so much over these past three years, that is one of my favorite human beings on the planet Earth,” said McDuffie, “I feel like I have the best agent ever. He keeps me up to date. If they talk at 6 a.m., (I’m) getting a call at 6:01 a.m. telling me about everything they talk about. Because of that, I feel like I’m just truly allowed to focus on ball, focus on St. Joe, focus on football, and honestly not even worry about the contract.”

McDuffie was a first-team All-Pro in 2023 and a second-team selection in 2024. He debuted on the annual NFL Top 100 countdown at No. 81 this offseason, showing increased respect from around the league.

He’s tallied 27 passes defensed, seven forced fumbles, two interceptions, and 4.5 sacks in his career.
