Detroit Lions offensive lineman suffers injury during pregame warm-ups image

The Detroit Lions just can’t seem to ever avoid the injury bug.

We saw more evidence of that on Friday night before the preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons.

According to Jeff Risdon of Lions Wire, offensive lineman Justin Herron suffered an injury during pregame warm-ups. The exact injury and severity are unknown at this time.

Risdon adds that Herron was set to play increased snaps on Friday night thanks to the absences of Dan Skipper and Jamarco Jones, both of whom are dealing with injuries.

Herron was signed by the Lions less than a week ago with the team dealing with the aforementioned injuries along the offensive line. He has appeared in 35 games (11 starts) since 2020. He did not play a snap for any team in 2024.

The Falcons and Lions will kick off from Atlanta at 7 p.m. ET. The game is broadcast on NFL Network.
