Browns legendary quarterback praises Shedeur Sanders image

The Cleveland Browns are in the midst of one of the most-discussed quarterback battles in the NFL. Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders continue to duke it out to see who will be the Week 1 starting quarterback against the Cincinnati Bengals.

While it appears that Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel are leading the way after Kenny Pickett suffered a hamstring injury. And although it appears to be an uphill battle for Sanders, he has the support of arguably the best quarterback in Browns history. Bernie Kosar was asked about Sanders, and he raved about the rookie.

“I love how he’s handling some things,” Kosar said. “He’s out here an hour early, and that’s working  out type stuff, and then he’s one of the last guys here.”

Even if Sanders isn’t the Week 1 starter, it feels all but certain that he will start some games in 2025 and have the opportunity to prove himself as the potential future of the franchise.
