"You bust your b-tt": "Andy Reid opens up on Kansas City Chiefs' undefeated streak and winning formula | NFL News - Times of India

The Kansas City Chiefs are making history in the 2024 NFL season, with an impressive start that has placed them on track for a third consecutive Super Bowl title. This would be an unprecedented achievement in the NFL, as no team has ever claimed three championships in a row. Adding to the intrigue is their perfect 9-0 record to begin the season, extending a remarkable 15-game winning streak that began during the 2023 playoffs. However, for head coach Andy Reid, the focus isn’t on the streak, but on keeping the team’s mentality strong and determined.

Kansas City Chiefs aim for historic third consecutive Super Bowl victory

The Chiefs have set their sights on winning another Super Bowl, but the idea of an undefeated season isn’t at the forefront of their minds. While the 9-0 record and 15-game streak are impressive, Reid is more concerned with maintaining his team’s preparation and focus. His approach reflects his belief in the process, emphasizing hard work, focus, and execution over the hype surrounding their early-season success.
Reid shared his perspective on the streak during a radio interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, explaining that success comes from consistent effort rather than dwelling on past accomplishments. “You get so engulfed in trying to do well… you bust your butt and you maximize all you can do with the time that you have to get better,” he remarked. “And so then you don’t have to worry about all that other stuff. You maximize it out and you get to a point where you go, ‘Alright, this is as much as I can do. I’m just gonna go out and do it.’”

Drawing parallels to studying for tests, Reid stressed the importance of focusing on the task at hand rather than external distractions. “The thing you control is what I’m talking about here. It’s kind of a neat thing to watch, and that’s what the guys have been doing.”
The Chiefs are not relying solely on their high-powered offense this season. Instead, their defense and special teams have stepped up, becoming key contributors to their success. Reid’s mindset has instilled a sense of discipline and focus across the roster, leading them to adapt and find new ways to win.

As the season progresses, Kansas City’s pursuit of greatness continues. With their eyes firmly set on NFL immortality, the Chiefs’ ability to stay focused on the essentials could be the key to making history under Reid’s guidance.
