This is about as bad as it gets.

Injuries have started to take their toll on the Dallas Cowboys during training camp. With injuries to Tyler Guyton and a plethora of cornerbacks down, the Cowboys now find themselves already in a next-man-up mentality.

Since last week, Jerry and Stephen Jones have made the Micah Parsons debacle even more complicated, with the Joneses calling out their star amid calls to pay him what he’s worth.

Cowboys fans can no longer reel in the frustration and confronted Jerry Jones in Oxnard personally to voice their opinion. ESPN’s Adam Schefter is now talking doomsday scenario for the Cowboys, saying the deal isn’t even “being discussed right now.”

“We are further away from a deal in late July, early August, than we were in late March, early April…It’s not a negotiation right now. There’s really no conversation about getting a deal done,” Schefter said on his podcast.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones reportedly isn’t even negotiating with Micah Parsons

This is much different from what fans witnessed with CeeDee Lamb last season. Parsons is taking the effort to attend training camp to be there for his teammates. While he’s been unfairly criticized for even doing that, Jerry Jones is in serious trouble of flopping on this entire deal.

Schefter pointed out some hope for fans, saying that talks could eventually turn into a green light by next week, but still, at this point, it almost seems like any conversations of a deal between Parsons and the Joneses are completely dead at the moment.

Micah Parsons could face major consequences if he leaves Dallas Cowboys training camp

Parsons may be the Lawrence Taylor of the 21st century. The effort that he brings is 110 percent on each play, and the fact that nothing is done is almost complete malpractice on the Joneses’ side of the aisle.

Fans of Dallas in general have already seen the fall of their other superstar just a few months ago when Luka Doncic was traded to the Lakers. Cowboys fans would explode if Schefter turns out to be correct on this.
