A key player for the Dallas Cowboys is going to be sidelined for most if not all of training camp after an injury today.

According to reports, Dallas Cowboys starting offensive tackle Tyler Guyton is set to miss the next four to six weeks of action after suffering a “bone fracture” in practice. There were initial fears that it was a season-ending ACL tear, but the MRI came back with a more acceptable diagnosis.

“Tyler Guyton’s ACL is intact after a MRI, according to a source. He has a bone fracture and will not require surgery. Looking at a 4-6 week recovery. Cowboys get better than expected news,” ESPN’s Todd Archer reported.

Guyton started 11 of 15 games played for the Cowboys as a rookie in 2024. He played over 600 snaps after going 29th overall to the team in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Cowboys hope to pair Guyton with a fellow first-round offensive lineman, former Alabama guard Tyler Booker.

This past week the Cowboys also saw veteran wide receiver Parris Campbell suffer a leg injury. Though much like Guyton, the diagnosis for Campbell was better than it could have been. He reportedly has an MCL sprain.

“Update on some injuries: Cowboys WR Parris Campbell has a MCL sprain in his knee, according to a person with knowledge of the injury,” Cowboys insider Calvin Watkins reported today.

The Dallas Cowboys have certainly gotten off a bit easy with some of the injury reports that have come in early in the NFL training camp period.

Hopefully it stays that way and the team can avoid any catastrophic injuries over the next few weeks (and months).
