The Cleveland Browns' social media showcases a great pass by Shedeur Sanders; Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett look fully concerned | Marca

On July 18, the rookies of the Cleveland Browns reported to training camp ahead of the upcoming season. Among them were quarterbacks selected in the recent Draft: Dillon Gabriel from the Oregon Ducks and Shedeur Sanders from the Colorado Buffaloes.

Both rookies face the difficult mission of outperforming the veterans-namely Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett-a challenge that will be particularly tough in Week 1. However, as the season progresses, they could get a chance to play if either Flacco or Pickett (whomever wins the starting job) experiences a decline in performance.

The veterans are set to report on Tuesday, July 22, and that’s when the real battle will begin. On that day, head coach Kevin Stefanski will likely need to make a decision on who gets first-team reps. According to betting odds, the most likely choice is 40-year-old Joe Flacco, who is entering his 18th season in the NFL.

The Cleveland Browns showed off passes from Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel

There’s no doubt that all eyes are on the Cleveland Browns-especially because of Shedeur Sanders, a high-profile player who has stolen the spotlight. The Browns’ social media accounts posted a video of Sanders throwing a pass to fellow rookie Luke Floriea.

Not to be outdone, the Browns also shared a clip of Dillon Gabriel making a simple pass to Ahmani Marshall. As expected, both positive and negative comments poured in-and this is just the beginning of what promises to be a training camp drama.

Now comes the moment of truth, and we’ll soon see whether the Browns will keep four quarterbacks by the end of camp-which is very rare in the NFL. Typically, teams carry two quarterbacks on the active roster and one on the practice squad, so Kevin Stefanski’s decision will be very interesting to watch.
