NFL expert discusses the importance of Dax Hill's return to Bengals' defense - Cincy Jungle

The Cincinnati Bengals have a brand-new defensive coordinator taking over the reins this season in Al Golden.

The defense was horrid last season and lost the team multiple games and, in turn, was a large reason why the Bengals missed the playoffs.

But the unit is looking to flip the script this season with a young unit, and the return of Dax Hill is only going to help.

One NFL expert believes Hill’s return will be a massive step in the right direction for the unit, especially for the young secondary.

NFL Films’ Greg Cosell recently joined Ross Tucker’s podcast and had some high praise for the former first round pick, “Dax Hill coming back is a big deal because he was clearly their best corner.”

Cosell did say the secondary is very young and that is a concern, but he hopes the staff will work that out during training camp.

Hill is coming off a torn ACL, which he suffered last season, and will look to fill a much-needed role as a veteran in Cincinnati this season.
