BREAKING: Patriots Legend Tom Brady Gives High Praise to NFL’s New Face

Former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was the face of the NFL for a large majority of the last two decades. Now, Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes holds that title.

Brady played over 20 years in his historic NFL career, which many consider the greatest of all time. The seven-time Super Bowl champion made an astonishing 15 Pro Bowls and won three MVP awards to highlight his long list of accolades.

In retirement, he’s passed the torch to the next great quarterback in the NFL. As Mahomes enters his 10th year in the NFL, he’s already won three Super Bowls, been to six Pro Bowls, and won two MVP awards. The two NFL greats have won five of the last seven Super Bowls.

Brady and Mahomes have been in communication throughout this offseason, and the Patriots legend has had some high praise for the current superstar in Kansas City.

“The great players that I’ve played with, Patrick has their mentality,” Brady said earlier this year (h/t Fox Sports). “He has the will to win. He’s got a desire every time he takes the field to be a great leader. I listen to what guys say after they win; I listen to what guys say after they lose. Everything he says is the right thing.”

Brady also didn’t hesitate to pick Mahomes as the quarterback with the best chance to match the Patriots’ quarterback’s success throughout his career.

After all, Mahomes has accomplished about half as much as Brady did, and he’s played a little less than half as long as Brady. Theoretically, the Chiefs’ star quarterback is the only one who comes close to being on pace to accomplish the level of success Brady did in his career.
