Cowboys' George Pickens Laughs At Steelers Trade And Reveals One-Word Dallas Prediction - Athlon Sports

FRISCO — George Pickens clearly feels like he escaped from a place that was no longer “beautiful” to him via his trade from the Pittsburgh Steelers to the Dallas Cowboys.

And now the controversial wide receiver is celebrating the same fate just granted to an old “broski.”

The Miami Dolphins are sending Jalen Ramsey to the Steelers in a package that also includes Jonnu Smith. Going to Miami is Minkah Fitzpatrick, a standout defensive player in his own right.

Most of the discussion about the blockbuster deal is about money, fit and the fun of the new Pittsburgh corner Ramsey essentially “breaking the story” all by himself on social media.

Miami did this because it didn’t want to spend the money to keep its two players, and the Steelers did it because, along with the Aaron Rodgers signing, they are in a go-for-it mode.

But what do people think about the Fitzpatrick part of the swap?

Pickens, who spent the first three years of his career in Pittsburgh, has a thought.

“Super happy for you broski !!!!!!” George writes on his IG page. “Back to beautiful places in life lol.”

The Steelers deserve some credit for assertively pulling the trigger on some big moves this offseason, as evidenced in a previous trade for receiver DK Metcalf and the signings of cornerback Darius Slay Jr. and Rodgers.

Also in that category is their give-up on Pickens, who apparently was in a place where the club was tired of his act … and where the feeling was mutual.

Pickens feels he is in a “beautiful” place now, as a key cog in the Dak Prescott-led offense, as the new receiver works in tandem with All-Pro wideout CeeDee Lamb.

Just how happy is he? Happy enough to be issuing a one-word prediction on what he’s about to bring to Dallas.

“Swag,” he said.

Ramsey certainly fills a need, though he brings another big personality after the Steelers have added several such players this offseason. But the talent is undeniable and one that could be a major difference for the Steelers this season.
