The Kansas City franchise must be vigilant that its players give extra effort for the upcoming NFL season, as head coach Andy Reid is aware that veterans are aging and cap space has become a growing concern; three names are the ones who must become stars.
The Kansas City Chiefs were one win away from consolidating the first true NFL dynasty of the 21st century. However, in Super Bowl LIX, it was the Philadelphia Eagles who got their revenge, making a fool of Patrick Mahomes and company, leaving Kansas City far behind in the wake of a historic three-peat.
These are the three Kansas City Chiefs players who will need to improve:
Now, looking ahead to the 2025 season, Reid’s team remains in contention for the championship, but with a much smaller margin for error. This puts pressure on young talent, including WR Xavier Worthy, OL Kingsley Suamataia, and Edge Felix Anudike-Uzomah, who stand out as the ones who must become contributors to lift the Lombardi title again.
Worthy arrived in Kansas City as the fastest player in NFL Combine history, and with high expectations. Suamataia, meanwhile, has all the physical tools to become a long-term starter, and finally, Anudike-Uzomah is preparing for a much larger role in defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo’s scheme.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes: “We have to be the best offense in the league”
Patrick Mahomes, a three-time championship quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs, asserted that returning to having the league’s best offense is the path to his team reaching its sixth Super Bowl in the last decade. “We want to be the best offense in the league every day, because ultimately we want to win the Super Bowl.”

Patrick Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, doesn’t want to go through the experience of losing an NFL title game again, as happened last February, when the Philadelphia Eagles defeated them 40-22.
