He is 35 years old, and he will turn 36 years old on October 5. Is there is a chance that this could be his final season in the NFL? Many thought that Kelce was going to retire after they lost in the Super Bowl to the Philadelphia Eagles. There is no doubt that Kelce is going to be a future hall of famer and head to Canton, Ohio. However, where does the star tight end rank amongst the Top 100 players in the NFL entering the 2025 NFL season?

Before the start of the 2024 NFL season, Kelce was ranked as the 18th best player in the NFL by CBS Sports Pete Prisco. However, Prisco ranked his Top 100 players entering the 2025 NFL season. The Chiefs starting tight end is ranked as the 96th best player in the NFL entering the 2025 season. He said,

“Age started to look like it was impacting Kelce’s play last season as he didn’t look to be the same player. There were moments, but the consistency wasn’t there. He had 97 catches, but he averaged just 8.5 per catch, the lowest of his career, which is not a good sign for a 35-year-old. “

Kelce caught 97 passes for 823 yards and three touchdowns during the 2024 NFL season, along with averaging 8.5 yards per reception. He was also targeted 133 times and also rushed for one yard on one carry. Kelce was ranked 12th in the NFL last season in receptions but he was ranked 39th overall in the NFL in receiving yards.

There is a chance that his production will continue to drop during the 2025 NFL season. Whether he plays well or not, this could very well be his last NFL season and may want to focus on his life with Taylor Swift rather than playing football after that.
