During his press conference on Thursday, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid discussed the importance of staying innovative and unpredictable.
“I think every coach would probably tell you that, but I think it’s important that you keep growing,” said Reid, “There are some lessons (that) you can learn out of that, and I told you before (that) I thought the attitude that they had coming out of that (Super Bowl LIX loss), I look for that. ‘Are you going to take responsibility?’ These guys took responsibility for it. That gives you an opportunity to improve â coaches and players. If you come in and start pointing the finger at each other, you can’t grow, but these guys have done that and have had a great attitude this offseason.”
The Chiefs are consistently praised for their coaching staff’s willingness to expand their playbooks and take calculated risks. Head coach Andy Reid’s offense will have more opportunities to showcase its strengths, while Steve Spagnuolo’s defensive vision for the unit is evolving.
The offseason workout practices allow players to create and implement these new ideas.
