The 2024 season was one to forget for the Browns and Chubb himself. Returning from a devastating knee injury, Chubb missed the start of the 2024 season but eventually returned to the field and reclaimed his starting job. However, he only played eight games before a foot injury prematurely against the Kansas City Chiefs ended his comeback campaign. The Browns missed the playoffs once again and Chubb finished the season with 332 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 102 carries while adding five receptions for 31 yards and an additional score.

Nick Chubb originally entered the NFL as a second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Selected by the Cleveland Browns, the Georgia product began his career behind veteran Carlos Hyde before taking the starting job midway through his rookie season. Dominating right out of the gate, Chubb finished his inaugural season with 996 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on 192 carries while adding an additional 20 receptions for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

The running back built on this promising campaign by establishing himself as one of the league’s elite running backs over the next four seasons. Making the Pro Bowl every year from 2019 to 2022, Chubb never recorded fewer than 1,000 yards or eight rushing touchdowns despite splitting snaps with Kareem Hunt and playing on inconsistent offenses. In 2020, he helped guide the Browns to their first playoff win in forever against the Pittsburgh Steelers while recording 1,067 yards and 12 touchdowns on the season.

Chubb maintained his impressive form early in 2023 before suffering a gruesome knee injury during Week 2. Ending his season, the running back finished the shortened campaign with 170 rushing yards on just 28 attempts.

Since signing his rookie contract, Nick Chubb has appeared in 85 games while making 78 starts. While on the field, the Georgia product has recorded 6,843 rushing yards and 51 touchdowns on 1,340 carries.
