Stefon Diggs apparently got the message Mike Vrabel sent.

Details On Stefon Diggs-Mike Vrabel Meeting After Boat Video

The Patriots head coach confirmed last week that he spoke with Diggs about a video capturing the wide receiver partying on a boat with an unidentified substance. Unsurprisingly, Vrabel did not share any insight into the conversation.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer, however, reported on some details when he appeared on NBC Sports Boston’s “Early Edition” this week.

“Yeah, I think he (Diggs) got the message,” Breer said. “I think there was a point last week when everything was on the table, and it really kind of rode on like, ‘OK, how does it go when Mike Vrabel has a chance to talk to him directly?’

“By all accounts, that conversation went fine. I think he was truthful with Mike. I think there was at least some degree of like, ‘What were you doing?’ And it’s not so much just being on a boat on Memorial Day weekend, whatever was in the bag. It’s more like, ‘There are cameras on the boat? What are you (thinking)?’”

Some wondered whether the Patriots would release Diggs after the video, an idea that gained steam after Scott Zolak shared his own intel. However, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport, Breer and others reported Diggs will remain in New England.

Diggs returned to practice after missing last Wednesday.

“I think all that at this point is past them,” Breer said. “He was there again (Tuesday), and so I think right now, they’re moving forward. It’s not erased from the ledger; it happened. But my understanding is they’ve moved forward.”

The Patriots will hold mandatory minicamp next week.
