Star pass rusher Micah Parsons made his return for the Dallas Cowboys after missing the previous four games with an ankle injury. But the comeback didn’t necessarily go well, as the Dak Prescott-less Cowboys suffered a 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10.
On Monday, Parsons released a new episode of his podcast, “The Edge with Micah Parsons,” and discussed the brutal loss for Big D. The former Penn State star also mentioned his clear favorite for the 2024 NFL MVP award, naming Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson as his frontrunner.
“What Lamar’s doing right now, it’s not even comparable,” Parsons said. “Lamar should be the clear frontrunner for MVP. This has by far been the best season in the league since I’ve seen him. He’s just looked unstoppable. He’s confident. His receivers seem confident. Just everything about him seems way more confident. Lamar is just that guy.”

Parsons also listed two players who are right behind Jackson in the MVP race, including Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
In his seventh season in the league, Jackson is on pace to have the best statistical year of his career, at least through the air. The two-time MVP has completed 199-of-288 passes for 2,669 yards, 24 touchdowns (tying the output from his 2023 MVP season) and only two interceptions. The former Louisville Cardinals star has also shown off his wheels, tallying 91 carries for 538 yards and another two scores.
After starting the season 0-2, Jackson has led the Ravens to seven wins in their last eight games, bringing their record to 7-3. They now hold the fifth seed in the NFL playoffs, with their AFC North rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers, at 7-2.
Baltimore and Pittsburgh will battle it out for first place in the division as they meet at Acrisure Stadium in Week 11.
