CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Cincinnati Bengals had organized team activities on Tuesday, amidst ongoing challenges with key players.

Defensive end Trey Hendrickson remained absent from the field. Hendrickson has been steadfast in his decision not to play without a long-term deal. He is currently in the final year of his contract, which includes a base salary of approximately $16 million.
Adding to the Bengals’ concerns, first-round draft pick Shemar Stewart, selected 17th overall, has yet to sign his contract. Stewart’s absence from practice will continue until an agreement is reached.
On the field, the Bengals’ offense showed familiar form. Quarterback Joe Burrow was precise during practice, particularly in the 7-on-7 drills. Burrow completed 9 out of 10 passes, with the only incompletion resulting from a dropped ball by Tee Higgins, attributed to the rainy conditions.

Defensively, the Bengals showcased their projected first-team lineup. The secondary featured Cam Taylor-Britt, Geno Stone, Jordan Battle, and DJ Turner, with Josh Newton and Jalen Davis rotating in. Davis made a notable interception against the second-team offense. Logan Wilson and rookie Demetrius Knight Jr. took most of the first-team reps at linebacker, while offseason acquisition Oren Burks mixed in.
The Bengals will continue their OTAs on Wednesday and Thursday, and again from June 2-4, before commencing mandatory minicamp on June 10. If Hendrickson remains absent by then, he will face fines from the team.
