During the 2024 season, he missed a couple of games due to injury. Love also had a good season in 2024 but will need to take things to another level in 2025 if the Packers are going to be higher than the seventh seed in the NFC. Pro Football Focus listed its tiers of quarterbacks ahead of the 2025 NFL season. What tier is Love rated in?

John Kosko of pro football focus created his quarterback rankings in tiers entering the 2025 NFL season. Some people think that Love could be a Top 10 quarterback, but Kosko thinks that Love is not a Top 10 quarterback at the moment. He has Love ranked as the 12th best quarterback in the NFL entering the 2025 NFL season. The tier that Kosko has him in is 3B with the quarterbacks who are solid starters, but they need more help.

Kosko said about Love being ranked 12th,

“When ranking quarterbacks in this tier, it’s almost a dart throw trying to predict the level of play you’ll get. Jordan Love’s late-season run in 2023 was a stellar mix of big-time throws and sound decision-making, but he couldn’t carry that momentum into 2024. His big-time throw rate dropped from 5.6% to 3.5%. If he can recapture that 2023 groove, Love has both the talent and mindset to make a run at the NFC crown.”

During the 2024 season with Green Bay, he completed 63.1% of his passes for 3,389 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. He only rushed for 83 yards on 25 carries and one touchdown, along with averaging 3.3 yards per carry.

Love is ranked ahead of players like C.J. Stroud, Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence, Baker Mayfield, and Kyler Murray. However, he is ranked behind Jared Goff, Geno Smith, and Brock Purdy. People can make an argument that Love should be ahead of Purdy.

Goff, Smith, and Purdy are in Tier3A, which is quarterbacks who are solid starters who have flashed high-end play. Love no doubt should be in that tier and some could argue that Mayfield belongs in that tier as well. The Packers quarterback being ranked in the Top 15 in the league is correct. However, what isn’t correct is that he should be a little higher but does not also belong in the tier 2 or tier 1 quarterback conversation by pro football focus yet.
