Davante Adams might not get to work with Matt LaFleur any time soon, according to a recent interview the Green Bay Packers head coach had with Kay Adama. In LaFleur’s recent appearance on the ‘Up & Adams Show’, he was asked if there was a possibility of Adams somehow making it to the Packers and working under him, especially since the two had such great chemistry when Adams played for Green Bay.

Matt LaFleur practically confirms Packers pushed for blockbuster reunion

Adams has been playing in the NFL since 2014 after being selected by the Green Bay Packers as the 53rd pick in the second round of the draft. After playing with the Packers until 2021, Adams joined the Las Vegas Raiders. In the middle of the previous season, Adams joined the New York Jets. In the upcoming NFL season, the 32-year-old wide receiver will play for the Los Angeles Rams.

“I’m sure (Los Angeles Rams head coach) Sean (McVay) and my brother (Rams offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur) would be really upset if Davante (had) come back. I think anytime you have a player of that caliber, there’s definitely conversations that go into it, and sometimes it works out, and sometimes it doesn’t, but Davante is a guy that I got a ton of respect for in terms of just who he is as a player. Certainly, it kind of speaks for itself. But it’s not a surprise that he’s become the type of player he’s become, because just how he approaches the game, he is the ultimate competitor, and I feel like he treats practice like it’s game day.” Matt LaFleur said about Davante Adams on the ‘Up & Adams Show’.

Davante Adams will be a strong force for the Los Angeles Rams in the upcoming NFL season. Bringing Adams into their roster was one only of Los Angeles’ big moves in the offseason, but this one will pay up faster and better.
