One NFL analyst thinks he knows which Cleveland Browns quarterback will make an impact first.

The Cleveland Browns feel like they have nowhere to go but up. After a 3-13 campaign in 2024 and huge question marks under center, the team signed two veteran free agent quarterbacks and drafted both Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders.
Gabriel was selected in the third round while Sanders’ name wasn’t called until the fifth, in what’s been called a historic draft slide after he was projected to possibly be a top-five player taken.

The four QBs will be competing for the starting job vacated by Deshaun Watson, who continues to rehab two torn Achilles tendons and whose 2025 season is in jeopardy.
Bleacher Report’s Damian Parson thinks Sanders has a good shot at being named the starter very early in the season.
“On the field, Sanders has shown high-level accuracy and anticipation during the rookie minicamp seven-on-seven throwing drills,” Parson said. “He is getting the ball out with precision and shows good placement. Who the Browns’ franchise QB will be is unknown, but Sanders has the most passing skill and potential on their roster to earn that title.
“The majority of Day 3 picks don’t get the opportunity to take a prominent role in year one. Sanders is not a typical fifth-round pick and could become an immediate starter and impact player.”
Parson put Sanders on a list of Day 3 draftees who could make the biggest impact with their respective teams.
If Sanders were to jump the other three and become the Browns starter for Week 1 or even early in the season, we say it would be a surprise … but Cleveland and NFL fans would probably rejoice as Sanders’ jersey has outsold all other rookie jerseys early this offseason.
