Dallas Cowboys schedule: Games, dates, TV channels, predictions for 2025 season

Dallas Cowboys schedule: Games, dates, predictions for 2025

The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2024 season with 7-10 record, placing third in the NFC East. This disappointing finish came after three consecutive seasons with a 12-5 record.

As a result of the team’s struggles, Dallas parted ways with Mike McCarthy and elevated offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to head coach.

The Cowboys lost starting quarterback Dak Prescott to a season-ending hamstring injury in 2024 which required surgery. Prescott’s absence contributed to their struggles, but he is expected to return healthy. He is just one year removed from finishing as the MVP runner-up.

The new coaching staff quickly focused on rebuilding Dallas’ offensive line and selected guard Tyler Booker with the 12th overall pick in the NFL draft.

Otherwise, Jerry Jones and Co. piloted a relatively quiet offseason by Cowboys standards. That was until last week, when they traded for George Pickens, bolstering the wide receiver room. The revamped offense is poised to thrive in 2025 with the 1-2 punch of Pickens and All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

On Monday, NBC’s “Today” show announced the matchup for the Week 1 NFL season opener will showcase the Cowboys on the road against their NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles. What does the rest of their schedule look like? Here’s an overview of the Cowboys’ schedule for 2025.

Cowboys record prediction 2025

Record prediction: 9-8

Expectations are always high in Dallas, but it was another uncharacteristically quiet off-season for Jerry Jones and Co. up until recently.

Dallas has improved the roster and has an elite receiving duo of Lamb and Pickens. They along with tight end Jake Ferguson provide the offense with reliable weapons.

The Cowboys are a year removed from three consecutive 12-5 seasons. They can possibly climb back into the thick of the NFC with a healthy roster.

Notably, the Cowboys lost Rico Dowdle, DeMarcus Lawrence and Jourdan Lewis in free agency. Those holes were filled in the draft with their selections of edge rusher Donovan Ezeiruaku in Round 2, cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. in Round 3 and running back Jaydon Blue in Round 5.

Dallas has the 22nd-hardest schedule in the league, per Sharp Football Analysis. A significant factor contributing to this is their four matchups against the defending champion Eagles and the NFC runner-up Commanders.

As a result of finishing third in the NFC East last season, the Cowboys will face the Panthers, Jets, and Cardinals – three winnable matchups. Additionally, they have the advantage of two divisional matchups against the rebuilding Giants.

However, the Cowboys will also encounter two challenging road games against Detroit and Denver, and they are set to host the AFC champion Chiefs at some point during the season.

Overall, the Cowboys’ schedule poses considerable challenges, with games against the AFC West and NFC North divisions ahead. This sets the stage for a tough season for “America’s Team,” as they could potentially finish third in the division again but have the opportunity to compete for a wild-card spot if everything aligns in their favor.
