Ex-NFL Champion Reveals Potential Key Factor in Cowboys’ Success in Upcoming Season

Dallas Cowboys CeeDee Lamb Fires Off 1-Word Ego Message on George Pickens Trade - Athlon Sports

As the NFL is expected to release the game schedule for the upcoming 2025 regular season, news has spread that the Dallas Cowboys will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles to kickoff this season.

It will be a tough matchup for Dallas as they are coming off of a 2024 season that resulted in a 7-10 record.

There will be higher expectations for the Cowboys in 2025 with new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

He was promoted from being the team’s offensive coordinator in 2024 to serving as head coach – his first stint as a head coach in the NFL.

Starting quarterback Dak Prescott will be returning from a partial tear in his hamstring that kept him from playing in the last nine games of the 2024 season.

Prescott will also be with a new weapon in wide receiver George Pickens after Dallas traded for him on May 7.

With a healthier team and new head coach, the Cowboys will be heading into the new season with hopes that they can perform better.

Damien Woody believes the Cowboys offensive line will need to step up

All of these factors will need to come together, and NFL analyst Damien Woody believes there’s another key element Dallas must address to find better success.

“I think the real key factor for the Dallas Cowboys is how well their offensive line comes together,” Woody explained on Monday.

Dallas’ offensive line is young, but they have used a lot of top draft picks in recent years to form a new wall for quarterback Dak Prescott.

The line features three first-round picks: tackles Tyler Guyton and Tyler Booker, along with guard Tyler Smith. Center Cooper Beebe will be at the helm, while tackle Terrence Steele, at 27 years old, is the oldest starting linemen.

They will look to improve from last season’s 38 total sacks allowed and help Prescott stay on the field.
