The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Denver Broncos 16-14 in the most epic fashion in Week 10.

While the Chiefs’ perfect win-streak appeared over as Broncos kicker Will Lutz prepared to drill a 35-yard field goal to clinch a victory with :01 second left on the clock, it was not meant to be. Linebacker Leo Chenal blocked the field goal and Kansas City held on to win.

Chiefs quarterback Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes, who attended the game at Arrowhead Stadium with the couple’s two children, Sterling, and Bronze, was equally stunned by the wild finish to the game.

Mahomes’ offense faltered after left tackle Wanya Morris exited the game with a knee injury, and his backup, rookie second-round pick Kingsley Suamataia, struggled mightily. However, Morris was able to return in the fourth quarter and Mahomes finished with 266 yards and one score.

After the game, Brittany, 29, sent a short but sweet message to her husband.

“Love this guy ,” Brittany wrote.

The Kansas City Current co-owner, who’s pregnant with the couple’s third child, has been Mahomes’ No. 1 fan since they were high school sweethearts. With the way the Chiefs keep finding ways to win each week, achieving a historic Super Bowl three-peat doesn’t seem like such a lofty goal anymore.

Next up, however, Mahomes and Co. will face a tough battle against their AFC rival, the Buffalo Bills, who just won their fifth consecutive game in Week 10.
