Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has enjoyed a plethora of individual accolades over the years and he is set to receive another one on Saturday night.

In addition to being a three-time Super Bowl champion, a three-time Super Bowl MVP, a two-time NFL MVP, a three-time All-Pro, and a six-time Pro Bowler, the Chiefs living legend will be honored among some of the greatest to ever put on a pair of football pads in the state of Texas.

Patrick Mahomes to Be Inducted Into Texas High School Football Hall of Fame

After a standout career at Whitehouse High School, Mahomes is set to enter the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame as part of the 2025 induction class. Fittingly, Mahomes will be joined by one of his contemporaries in former No. 2 overall pick and Washington Commanders quarterback Robert Griffin III.

This honor is one that Mahomes will take great pleasure in receiving as it was his standout prep career that ultimately landed him at Texas Tech University before Kansas City selected him with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

During his time at Whitehouse High School, Mahomes was a standout on the gridiron, the baseball field and the basketball court. His finest moments came during his senior year as he set several records after compiling 4,619 passing yards and 50 touchdowns. Mahomes also rushed for 948 yards and 15 touchdowns that same season. Those efforts helped him earn the distinction of being the Associated Press’s 4A Player of the Year for the state of Texas.

The legend of Mahomes has continued to grow since his days as a prep star. Fortunately for Chiefs fans, they should have a front row seat to see just what the future has in store as the elite quarterback is under contract with Kansas City through the 2031 campaign.
