Josh Jacobs, running back for the Green Bay Packers, recently made an appearance on the ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ podcast with Taylor Lewan and spoke about his experiences with the team in the previous NFL season.

Jacobs had his first season with the Green Bay Packers last year. While his performance was pretty decent, the running back criticized the team after the season ended, most particularly the team’s offense, calling it inconsistent. For this, Jacobs was condemned by numerous fans for criticizing the team that took him. In his conversation with Lewan, Jacobs did not touch on this aspect of his previous season, but looked more positively to the next one.

“What I think of the team when you have a lot of young guys, it’s a lot of hunger, which I love, it’s a lot of guys that are still coachable, still willing to put in the work each day,” he said. “To have them type of guys with another year’s worth of experience, I think we’re going to be straight, man. I tell people all the time, we played the Eagles better than any other team that I seen. That was just me watching football and scouting and things like that. So I think we’re there, we’re just a few pieces away and we’ve got to figure it out.” Josh Jacobs said to Taylor Lewan on the ‘Bussin’ With the Boys’ podcast.

Before joining the Green Bay Packers, Josh Jacobs played for the Las Vegas Raiders from 2019 to 2023. Prior to the NFL, the running back played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide before being selected as the 24th pick in the very first round of the 2019 draft.

Josh Jacobs Was Hurt By Las Vegas Raiders And Is Still Not Over It

In the same podcast episode, Josh Jacobs also mentioned that he was deeply hurt by the Las Vegas Raiders, saying that the team disrespected him again and again. He also condemned the team for bringing in new coaches every year. According to Jacobs, the new coaches would ask him to prove his worth in the team, despite not having trained him in the previous season.

Josh Jacobs had four different coaches with the Las Vegas Raiders, including Jon Gruden, Rich Bisaccia, Josh McDaniels and Antonio Pierce. Despite him performing for the team, he was never given a long-term contract with the Raiders. However, things have changed for Jacobs as he seems to be happier with the Green Bay Packers.
