On Saturday, the Green Bay Packers concluded their three-day rookie mini camp. The camp was the first time the Packers worked with new wide receivers Matthew Golden and Savion Williams.

Green Bay selected Golden, a star out of Texas, with the No. 23 pick in the draft. Williams was a surprise pick by the Packers in the third round, given the team’s more pressing needs on the defensive line and secondary.

However, the Packers are boosting the receiver corps to give quarterback Jordan Love help. Love and the Packers were held to just 10 points in their wild card round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in January.

Green Bay was without Christian Watson in that game, as he injured his Achilles. It’s unclear when or if Watson will return in 2025.

“The Green Bay Packers have released WR Tulu Griffin (TOO-lou). The transaction was announced Monday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.”

Griffin was a standout receiver for Mississippi State, earning first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC honors in 2022. He went undrafted in 2024 before signing with the Las Vegas Raiders. He spent time with the Cleveland Browns last season before signing with the Packers in January.

He recorded no stats in 2024.
