Patrick Mahomes Half-Brother Receives Invite to Chiefs Rookie Minicamp - Yahoo Sports

While Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes prepares for his ninth season in the NFL, the three-time Super Bowl MVP’s half-brother, Graham Walker, is looking to make his league debut.

Walker, shares the same father as the 29-year-old quarterback, spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career playing wide receiver at Brown University, where he racked up 125 catches, 1,465 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns.

After transferring to Rice University and volunteering to switch to tight end with the Owls, Walker registered 24 receptions for 252 yards. Walker officially declared the 2025 NFL in January. However, the 6-foot-3, 227-pounder did not hear his named called in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Like many hopeful prospects, Walker did not attend the NFL draft in person. Walker, who grew up in Shelburne and Hinesburg, Vermont with his mother, Jessamyn Walker, and stepfather, Gerry Howatt told Seven Days in a recent interview that he planned to watch with his family at home.

While a flurry of undrafted free agents were scooped up immediately after the NFL draft concluded, Walker waited several weeks before receiving some incredible news. The tight end received in an invite to the Chiefs rookie minicamp. He’s one of 87 players participating this weekend in Kansas City.

During his Pro Day, Walker recorded the 40-yard dash in 4.82 seconds, 18 reps of 225 on the bench press, three-cone in 7.16 seconds, a 34.5-inch vertical jump, and a 114-inch broad jump.

Patrick Mahomes' half-brother, Graham Walker, received a rookie minicamp invite from the Chiefs.

The All-American Athletic Conference honorable mention, who shares the same agency as Mahomes, Equity Sports, now gets a chance to prove himself in Kansas City, and possibly become his half-brother’s teammate. The rookie told Seven Days that he received some tips from his famous half-brother during his collegiate career.

“I know Patrick has been watching the games, and he’s reached out and said good things that I’ve been doing,” Walker told Seven Days.

“When someone who’s accomplished so much can say you’re doing well, it really feels good.”
