BREAKING NEWS : Six offensive players that would fit the Browns on Day 3 of the 2025 NFL Draft

NFL Combine Football

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The 2025 NFL Draft is hurtling towards its final day of selections with rounds four through seven kicking off at 12 p.m. Eastern.

The Cleveland Browns have three picks left the rest of the way after making four picks on Day 2. They are slated to pick in the fourth round at No. 126, in the fifth round at No. 166, in the sixth round at No. 192.

After picking Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham with their first-round pick the Browns addressed some areas of need with the selections of Carson Schwesinger, Quinshon Judkins, Harold Fanin Jr. and Dillon Gabriel on Day 2. Here a look at six prospects that could fit the Browns throughout the remainder of the draft.

Shedeur Sanders, Colorado, QB, 6-2, 212 pounds

A second-team AP All-American, Sanders is one of the most fascinating prospects to come out in the last few years, and he’s arguably the best offensive player available.

After two seasons at Jackson State Sanders left for Colorado, and, alongside his father, Deion Sanders, and No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter helped the Buffaloes to their second winning season since 2005.

Sanders finished the 2024 season as the Big 12 offensive player of the year with Colorado records in passing yards (4,134), TDs in a season (37) and career (64). He completed 353 of 477 passes this season for a school record and FBS leading 74% completion rate.

Sanders has been a polarizing prospect. His brashness comes off as entitlement, he doesn’t have the biggest arm and many scouts believe he has too many bad habits that won’t translate to the NFL.

His accuracy and toughness, however, are undeniable. Combined with his poise in the face of pressure, ability to make off platform throws from different angles and his knack for buying time in the pocket, Sanders could be the steal of the draft whenever his name gets called.

NFL Draft Scouting Report: Utah State WR Jalen Royals - Yahoo Sports

Jalen Royals, Utah State, WR 6-0, 205

Royals missed the second half of his final season at Utah State with a foot injury, but is still projected to be a second or third rounder.

Even though he played just seven games Royals still led the Aggies with 55 receptions for 834 yards. He made the All-Mountain West second team after being a first-team selection with 1,080 receiving yards and a school record 15 TDs in 2023.

Royals isn’t the most explosive player off the line, but has a great feel for finding windows, hauling in contested catches and excels at making the first defender miss. He ran a 4.42 40-yard dash at the combine and and has the strength and body control to make plays on the ball and after the catch.

Dylan Sampson - Football - University of Tennessee Athletics

Dylan Sampson, Tennessee, RB, 5-foot-8, 200 pounds

Sampson was a third-team AP All-American, the SEC offensive player of the year and is waiting to hear his name called.

He tied a 95-year old Volunteer record with 22 rushing TDs from 1,491 yards with an average of 5.8 yards per carry. Sampson also caught 20 passes for 123 yards and was one of the best all-purpose back in the nation.

With a natural feel for setting up blocks, vision to see running lanes develops and the instincts to make the right decision based on whatever a situation may call for, Sampson turned into a bonafide star in his only year starting for Tennessee.

He’s a bit undersized and has room to grow as far as ball security and pass protection are concerned, but he has a full arsenal of moves at his disposal to make defenders miss and will run right through arm tackles. With the right scheme Sampson has the tools to play in the NFL for a long time.

Jaylin Lane, Virginia Tech, WR, 5-10, 191 pounds

A projected fourth-round pick, Lane was a third-team all-ACC return specialist this year for Virginia Tech.

He’s led the Hokies in receptions in consecutive seasons with 41 catches for 538 yards and six TDs in 2023 and 38 receptions for 466 yards, and two TDs in 2024. He also added a punt return TD to his resume this season.

With a 4.34 40-yard dash, an 11-foot broad jump and a 40-inch vertical Lane was one of the most impressive wide receiver prospects at this year’s draft combine.

He would be a much needed speedster in the Browns’ receiver room. He’s a burner from the slot when he’s matched up with a safety. Lane will need to improve as a route runner in the NFL, but he’s got the ability to take the top off of a defense and generate chunk plays with the ball in his hands in the quick game.

NFL draft Day 2: Cameron Williams scouting report, OT rankings

Cameron Williams, Texas, OT, 6-6, 317 pounds

A finalist for the Joe Moore award, which recognizes the country’s top offensive linemen, Williams was a major difference maker during the Longhorns’ run to the College Football Playoff’s National Semifinal.

He’s a projected fourth round pick with nearly all of the physical tools to thrive in the NFL. Williams has an ideal frame to play tackle at the next level. He’s incredibly strong with a punch that can stop rushers in their tracks. He knows how to wall off defenders and steer edge rushers around the quarterback.

His pass protection technique needs improvement, but the potential is there. He won’t come in ready to take over right away, but if he can reach the best version of himself on the field he could play for a long time in the NFL.

Isaiah Bond, Texas, 5-11, 180 pounds

Bond was overshadowed by Matthew Golden at Texas last season, but should be available when the Browns are on the board in the third round.

He ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the Combine, is a good route runner, has reliable hands and can play inside or out. He has the speed to challenge a defense down the field, but can by a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands on shorter, quicker routes.

With just one career game of more than 100 yards, and 99 catches over three seasons, Bond’s production was not great, but he clearly has the potential to be a playmaker at the next level with a higher share of targets.
