BREAKING: Bold predictions for Eagles QB Jalen Hurts vs. the Cowboys in Week 10

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

We’ve broken this down enough. We’re scrubbing everything off of the dry-erase board. If these guys don’t know what they’re doing by now, there’s nothing we can do to help them. And… It’s not like the Philadelphia Eagles or their coaches have been listening to us anyway.

It’s gameday folks, and nothing would make us happier than seeing the Birds CRUSH the Dallas Cowboys and put the final nail in their coffin. Philly hasn’t won in Arlington since 2017. Jalen Hurts hasn’t won there at all as a starter.

Let’s go get us one this week! Have a day Jalen!

Bold predictions for Jalen Hurts vs. the Cowboys in Week 10.

He threw four passing TDs, ran for two more, and turned the ball over seven times in Weeks 1-4. He’s thrown six TDs in Weeks 6-9 while scoring six more with his legs. The best part is he hasn’t turned the ball over once.

There’s room for improvement. Look no further than the criticism he is always taking. Some of it is fair, and some isn’t. The truth is, however, that there always will be for QBs in an ever-evolving NFL.

We expect QB1 to take another step in Week 10 vs. the hated Dallas Cowboys. Here’s how we see this one playing out.

Cowboys win the toss, defer, and Jalen leads the Eagles to an opening-drive TD.

Now that the monkey is off their back, we expect Philly to get off to faster starts more often, beginning with this game in Arlington. This time, the Birds score on their first drive of the contest.

Jalen Hurts DOESN’T SCORE A RUSHING TD, but the rushing attack eats.

Saying Dallas has been porous on defense would be an understatement. As weeks go on, we’re beginning to see shoulders slump more often. Philly will have plenty of opportunities to score.

Hopefully, Nick Sirianni’s decision-making won’t be his team’s Achilles heel this week. Something tells us that he stays out of the way, and it won’t be.

Cruising to an early lead this week will help Jalen run less often and, hopefully, avoid any play-calling that puts him in harm’s way.

Philly’s running game will do work though thanks in part to a Cowboys defense that’s allowing 147.8 yards on the ground per contest.

Expect Jalen Hurts’ highest passing yardage total of the season so far.

So far this season, a 311-yard performance vs. the New Orleans Saints is Jalen’s highest passing yardage total of the current campaign. Figure 325-350 in this one thanks to a Cowboys secondary that surrenders 217 yards per game.

Teams haven’t had to throw much on Dallas, but it doesn’t matter. Their secondary doesn’t strike fear into anyone, and they haven’t been good when teams decide they’re going to do so.

DaRon Bland didn’t play in Week 9 and still isn’t practicing ahead of the coming game. Trevon Diggs’ calf continues to bother him. He played in Week 9 and is expected to play vs. Philly on Sunday.

A.J. Brown and Dallas Goedert both play (and Jalen finds both for a passing TD).

Good news came for the Eagles early this week once we learned the knee issue A.J. Brown is dealing with isn’t serious. Wednesday, he was on the field at the NovaCare Complex and participating in practice along with fellow starters Dallas Goedert and Darius Slay.

We expect A.J. and Dallas to play and play well. Our prediction? Hurts finds both for a TD connection.
