BREAKING: 3 Best Fits For Cleveland Browns in First Round of NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns are coming off of another terrible season in 2024, and since they do not have many options in free agency, they desperately need to add some talent to a depleted roster in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Fortunately for Cleveland, it has the No. 2 overall pick later this month and will have just about every option in front of it when it comes to selecting its next hopeful franchise star.

With that in mind, lets take a look at the three best fits for the Cleveland Browns on April 24, when they make their initial NFL Draft selection.

The Best QB Options For The Cleveland Browns In The 2025 NFL Draft

Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

This is quite an easy one on its face, but there is no better fit for the Browns on paper right now than Colorado star Travis Hunter.

Not only is Hunter the top overall prospect in the NFL Draft, but he is also a superstar in the making that will put fans in seats just to come to watch him play football. He will also sell plenty of jerseys and merchandise for the Cleveland ownership, which is always a major plus.

Whether he is making plays downfield as a wide receiver, or locking down the outside as a corner, he can fill any role the Browns need him to fill while helping to build toward the future.

Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

This might not be the most popular pick among the Browns’ fan base, but in terms of drafting, it’s hard to imagine many better selections than Abdul Carter.

If there is one player who could challenge Hunter for the No. 1 spot in the class, it is Carter. And for the Browns, he checks every box. Not only is he a generational edge rusher, but he also comes in at a position of great need and could give New York one of the best pass-rushing tandems in today’s game.

Pairing him alongside Myles Garrett would be a terror for opposing offenses as well.

Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

Obviously, Shedeur Sanders would be a popular choice here, but in the case that that the Browns pick Carter or Hunter, it would be easy to see them trading back into the first round to also secure that quarterback of the future.

Based on what we have mostly seen, it could be unlikely that Sanders will be there. Then again, according to Albert Breer, that might not be the case.

Either way, assuming Sanders isn’t there, Jalen Milroe might be. He is an exciting prospect with tremendous physical tools and very well could into the start they need with the right coaching.
