BREAKING NEWS : Patriots in Talks With Commanders, Vikings Over Joint Practices

Preseason is one of the most significant times in the NFL. It is a time when each team prepares for the upcoming season with its complete roster.

It is also when teams can try new things and converse with others. The New England Patriots expect to be a team to practice with one another during the preseason, possibly twice.

ESPN’s Patriots reporter Mike Reiss reports that the Patriots potentially have two teams to practice against this preseason training camp. New England could play the Washington Commanders for a home game and the Minnesota Vikings for an away game.

Reiss also reports that the Patriots expect to be at home for week one of the preseason and then on the road for the next two weeks.

Last year, the Patriots hosted a joint practice session with the Philadelphia Eagles two days before their preseason matchup in Foxborough. Philadelphia was the 19th team to participate in a joint practice in just over a decade.

Patriots in Talks With Commanders, Vikings Over Joint Practices

If Reiss’ report comes to fruition, the Commanders and the Vikings will become the 20th and 21st teams to hold a joint practice with the Patriots.

While the joint practices are fun to watch and see on recap shows and social media, they are also famous for brawls during practice sessions.

This is a new regime for the Patriots, led by first-year head coach Mike Vrabel. He will have his team emotionally charged going into the season, so expect some emotions to carry over after the plays.
