HOT NEWS: Amari Cooper Signs Back With The Cleveland Browns

Amari Cooper Signs Back With The Cleveland Browns
The Cleveland Browns finally added more quarterback help to the team by signing Joe Flacco. With Flacco returning, he helps stabilize the room that was looking to be just Kenny Pickett as Deshaun Watson continues to work his way back from an ACL injury.

With addressing the quarterback spot, the Browns now still need to address their wide receiver room, whether in what’s left of free agency or in the 2025 NFL Draft. To ensure they have a stable room and don’t put themselves in a hole through the NFL Draft, they can solve their issues there by bringing back another player in Amari Cooper.

Cleveland Browns Sign Amari Cooper Back

Things didn’t necessarily end well for Amari Cooper in Cleveland last year. Right up until the trade deadline time, Cooper had started to become disgruntled in the Browns’ offense. This led to some increased tensions, and ultimately him being traded to the Buffalo Bills.

Now though, the Browns have a need at the wide receiver position, and Amari Cooper still remains a free agent. By Cleveland bringing Joe Flacco back, a quarterback that Cooper has a good connection with, should help Cooper change his opinion. That connection over the last three games of the 2023 season led to Cooper breaking the Browns’ single-game receiving record with 265 yards, and in total had 451 yards and three touchdowns over 22 receptions.

The Browns need Cooper’s skill set with his contested catch ability, and large catch radius. Cleveland can’t advance their offense just relying on Jerry Jeudy at the wide receiver position, and is the main reason why signing Cooper becomes a must.
