Dallas Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown wants it to be known that he sees and hears the doubters.
After suffering his second ACL, but in the other knee from his first, Overshown’s breakout season was cut short in December, just as he was beginning to garner Pro Bowl and even All-Pro chatter.
Such was the level of his injury, some have stated that he might not make it back on the field at all in 2025, although there is hope that in the second half of the season, we will see the newly crowned “Agent Zero” on the field in Matt Eberflus’ defense.
And for those doubting DeMarvion’s ability to return in 2025, he has a little message for you.
“Keep it coming,” Overshown said in a chat with Patrik Walker of dallascowboys.com. “It just fuels me, I see it, I’m not blind to it, but I know what’s for me and I already seen myself and what I’m going to be doing on the field next year, I’ve already seen it in the vision. So, I feel the love just as much as I see the doubters, so just keep it coming, but no, I’m going to be on the field next year.”
Overshown, who resembled a heat-seaking missile last year from his linebacker spot, was a big bright spark in an otherwise underwhelming season.
Posting five sacks, 90 combined tackles and an interception which he returned for a touchdown, he was beginning to rival Micah Parsons for Dallas’ most feared defensive weapon.
Now forced to sit on the sidelines, Overshown, who reportedly is “progressing well” in his recovery, has every intention of playing in 2025.
And if you doubt his ability to do so, just wait – because Agent Zero is coming to a field near you in 2025.
