Bengals get active in free agency again, sign defender - Yahoo Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals got active again in free agency Wednesday, signing linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.

Cincinnati announced the move as a one-year deal, securing a veteran who spent one game on the team’s practice squad late last season.

An undrafted free agent in 2019, Giles-Harris has spent time with several different NFL franchises over the years, most notably starting three games with nine overall appearances in 2020 with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Bengals added Giles-Harris in late December last year, only for him to be signed off the practice squad by those very same Jaguars a week later.

Seeking depth after essentially swapping out Akeem Davis-Gaither for Oren Burks in free agency, the Bengals retain a player they have familiarity with before going to the draft and potentially addressing the area as early as Round 1, too.
