BREAKING NEWS : 🔥 Chiefs’ Trey Smith Drops a Bombshell on the ‘Tush Push’ Controversy! 💥 You Won’t Believe What He Said! 👀

Kansas City Chiefs' Trey Smith Announces Bold Statement On 'Tush Push' Debate - Athlon Sports

This offseason, there has been a lot of talk regarding the Philadelphia Eagles’ tush push play, with some wanting it banned, others not.

The Kansas City Chiefs, like many other teams, have been on the receiving end of what can be an impossible play to stop if executed properly.

But for some, there is a potential for injury with bodies piled on top of one another; it is a recipe for disaster, so at the annual NFL owners meeting, the topic of banning it has come up.

Some want it out of the game, but Chiefs lineman Trey Smith, who was a guest on First Things First, wants it to stay.

“As an offensive lineman, my vote is no, I don’t want to ban it,” Smith said. “You can’t really punish the team for being great at something they do. At the end of the day, other teams have tried to replicate it and haven’t had as much success as them, and you have to give them credit; they’re very effective and great at what they do.”

So Smith still wants it to be a part of the game, but others will no doubt disagree.

Whether or not the “tush push” will be outlawed is unknown, but there is a desire to get it out of the game, with many stating it resembles a rugby play, not an NFL play.

It has become quite the weapon for the Eagles, and one that teams can’t consistently stop, and if the NFL doesn’t ban it, then teams will continue to work at trying to stop what is nearly becoming an unstoppable play.
