With Rashan Gary only having 7.5 sacks last season, it led the team but no recorded 10 sacks. The Packers have the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and it will be interesting to see if they find a star on the defensive line in the 2025 NFL Draft.

CBS sports writer Josh Edwards created his latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft. With the 23rd overall pick, he has the Packers selecting Ole Miss Rebels defensive lineman Walter Nolan. This would be a huge addition to the Packers defensive line.

Nolan could very well be on the board by the time the Packers are on the clock. Edwards said,

“Odds are good that Green Bay will use its first-round pick on the defensive side of the ball, and the defensive line is a good place to start in the wake of T.J. Slaton’s departure.”

There are many different ways that the Packers could use the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They have been linked to wide receivers, cornerbacks, and defensive lineman in mock drafts. With Nolen, he is 6’3″ and weighs 305 lbs.

Last season with the Rebels, he recorded 48 tackles, 6.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and two pass deflections. There is no doubt that he would start on Green Bay’s defensive line in 2025. Adding quality players to the line of scrimmage is a must this offseason with the way the Minnesota Vikings, the Detroit Lions, and the Chicago Bears are getting better on the offensive line.
