BREAKING NEWS : NFL writer projects what a Trey Hendrickson trade to Packers could look like

Cleveland Browns v Cincinnati Bengals

After the mega deals for Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, the elephant in the room is the contract situation of Trey Hendrickson.

While there is still hope that the Cincinnati Bengals could sign their star pass rusher to a contract extension, that hasn’t stopped NFL analysts from exploring potential new landing spots.

Ian Valentino of 33rd Team included a trade for Hendrickson among his four trades that should happen before the 2025 Draft.

In return, the Bengals would get a haul of the 23rd and 159th overall picks this year plus a second round pick in 2026 from the Green Bay Packers.

Here’s what Valentino wrote from the Bengals’ perspective:

While the idea of losing one of the league’s premier pass-rushers seems crazy, there’s a line of thinking that Cincinnati’s defense has been bad with Hendrickson, so paying him $35 million or more won’t fix the unit. Trading him for a major haul can do as much good or more if they hit.

Meanwhile, the Draft analyst thinks the Packers can afford to get a piece that will put them over the top, so a potential win-win for both sides.
