Stefon Diggs has left Foxborough without a deal, according to reports.
The veteran wide receiver had a free agent visit with the Patriots on Wednesday and Thursday. According to Sports Illustrated, the sides “[will] keep talking” following what both sides regarded as a positive interaction.
The 31-year-old Diggs, who is coming off a knee injury he sustained last season, has been in the NFL for 10 seasons, playing for Minnesota, Buffalo, and Houston. He has caught 857 passes for 10,491 yards and 70 touchdowns in his career.
His 2024 season ended after a torn ACL he suffered last October; he still finished with 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games for the Texans.
Diggs is the latest target for a New England team looking to bolster its wide receiver room. The Patriots weren’t able to land free agent Chris Godwin, who turned down more money from the Patriots to return to the Buccaneers, or Cooper Kupp, who ended up with the Seahawks.
In addition, Tee Higgins was franchised by the Bengals, and while the Patripts reportedly made overtures regarding DK Metcalf, the Seahawks dealt him to the Steelers. And Deebo Samuel was traded from the Niners to the Commanders.
